Here is a disassembly video of my Panasonic digital camera DMC-FP1. I am just disassembling to the LCD screen. It's actually very easy to disassemble. All you need is one very small phiilips screwdriver. No need for complicated torx or special star tools (which annoy the heck out of me).
It takes less than 4 minutes to do.
I was forced to do this when my LCD screen broke. Actually, it was just a loose connector. I originally bought this camera for my wife (then girlfriend), but now she just uses her iphone for taking pictures.
For those who have the "System Error (zoom)" problem, please try taking your camera to get warrantied. If they will not warranty your camera, then here are some steps in trying to fix the error:
