Circular Carbon Economy Solutions and Policies for Resilient Societies and Sustainable Economies

This session will take stock of holistic circular economy approaches, such as the circular carbon economy framework that G20 leaders endorsed in Riyadh in 2020 and supporting governance framework and policies, and how these enable emission reductions to deliver on UN Climate and Sustainable Development Goals. The session brings together perspectives to increase investment in climate-smart solutions, particularly circular economy emission reduction technologies, including carbon capture utilization and storage, modern bioenergy, waste-to-energy, direct air capture, and nature-based solutions.
