For World AIDS day 2007 World Vision joined the Stop AIDS campaign for a massive lobby of Parliament. The event took place in Parliament square and featured a giant red ribbon made of 5,700 carnations (each flower represents a person who will lose their life from and AIDS related illness in one day.) The lobby attracted over 60 MPs including Secretary of State Douglas Alexander.
On the day World Vision Campaigns Officer Nina and Student Stop AIDS campaigners present Douglas Alexander with 2,000 knots all made by students reminding the government to keep the promise of Universal Access by 2010.
