For the first time in a while I set off to the "barbel swim" on the Warwickshire Avon alone, having fished with either my daughter Anastacia or Alessio for as many of the previous sessions as I could remember.
The weather was close and the river had a slight tinge of colour to it, although it was fining-down.
My hopes were high...

ps Apologies for rather less-than-great quality of the picture. Youtube seems to have done a fantastic job of destroying the resolution, colour balance and contrast on this video!
