This is Part 1, rebuilding of a vintage motorcycle, a 1977 Suzuki GS550; a legendary air-cooled bike with 50 HP, 6 speed, 115 mph, 12 sec. 1/4 mile ; Suzuki's first generation of 4 stroke bikes; the pre-runner to the GSXR. Part 1 is where the tear down begins. Abandoned in a back yard for years, it would turn over and hesitate, but it refused to start properly. Hence, this rebuilt project. These bikes are overbuilt and almost indestructible, with a rock solid engine, often lasting more than 100,000 miles.
