The Pittsburgh Penguins traveled to Arizona to take on the Coyotes in the last matchup of their three-game road trip. Both teams were scoreless in the first period of play. Kasperi Kapanen got the Penguins on the board to lead off the second, snapping his goal drought. The Coyotes answered back with a goal of their own to tie things up, 1-1 but the third period was all Penguins. A score from Evgeni Malkin put Pittsburgh back in the lead and Sidney Crosby got a pair of insurance goals to secure the Penguins victory as they defeated Arizona by a score of 4-1.
