Jean-Jacques Beineix' Betty Blue (1986) is a French "l'amour fou"- road movie, and the sensational debut of actress Beatrice Dalle.
One day the young, beautiful and sexy, but emotionally unstable Betty turns up at writer Zorg's beach hut, and sends them both on a journey out of control.
C'est la vent, Betty appears in one my favourite scenes in the movie. Betty and Zorg find themselves in charge of a piano shop (with no costumers), and they play this piece of music, he plays the two-chord motif steadily, she plunks away on a blue note, off beat, and it somehow becomes very symbolic of the relationship and the entire movie.
