Here is a short video that I made following a slight mishap when trying to replace the flexible brake hoses on my Suzuki LJ80. Basically, the original flexible brake hoses were old and cracked and after ordering new ones I have attempted to undo the old ones without damaging the metal lines, or more importantly, their 10mm hex head unions/fittings. Because they appeared to be sized I have attempted a somewhat radical approach: use a propane blowtorch and heat them in order to get them stuck. The major downside of using that approach is the fact that the brake fluid that is still present in the lines will start building pressure and cause all sort of mishaps, like my movie shows. But, on the other side, sometimes you have to take risks, because who dares wins, right?
