A MIDI rendition of the theme to Kalos Routes 15, 16, and 17; from Pokémon XY.
It's been too long since I posted something. I don't know what's going on, but I just can't motivate myself. Admittedly, part of this hiatus lately was because of a new job I got that took up quite a bit of time, leaving not that much for composing purposes. Even so, it left enough that I should have been able to keep putting out songs. So, I don't know why I lack motivation so much. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep posting videos more frequently than I have lately, but I say that every time and I never do so.
Anyway, Pokémon XY. Fun game, but with a few flaws. It's too easy if you use the EXP share they give you, and increasing your PokA MIDI rendition of the theme to Kalos Routes 15, 16, and 17; from Pokémon XY.

Anyway, Pokémon XY. Fun game, but with a few flaws. It's too easy if you use the EXP share they give you, and increasing the affection of your 'Mons in Pokémon-Amie makes them pretty OP in battles. I actually had to handicap myself by deactivating the EXP Share and setting "Battle Style" to "Set" as well, just so the game wasn't a total joke. Additionally, the evil team's story feels a bit weird--they're all trying to do some big evil thing that I won't spoil here, and they're public enough about what they do that they should be recognized as criminals, but they're constantly walking around in public and nobody bats an eye. And AZ... that little sidestory seems really out of place. It's important, but it's not really introduced until the very end of the main storyline, and so it just feels out of place.
Good things: Graphics are amazing, music is pretty good, and Pokémon-Amie is the greatest feature ever added in any videogame ever. Seriously. For reals. It's adorable beyond belief, and is technologically impressive as well--718 Pokémon, all given 3D models and animations and able to be interacted with using the touch screen... it's just plain impressive.
Anyway, having beaten this game recently, I decide to pay tribute with this cover. Pic taken from some blog I found by searching "Pokemon XY" in Yahoo Images. Original song was composed by... one of the following people. They're all credited with "music" in the credits, so I'm not sure who made this song. Their names are: Shota Kageyama, Minako Adachi, Hitomi Sato, and Junichi Masuda. This arrangement is mine, though, as I composed it in Guitar Pro 6.
HOWEVER--and I feel I should mention this--the song was not transcribed by me. Another Youtuber called Nintendofan214 posted a video of his/her/their arrangement of this song made with Synthesia. I used that video to get down the basic tune, but I then added a bunch of extra stuff to it to make it into my own arrangement. Hopefully that doesn't count as stealing, because stealing goes against my values and I don't want to be labeled as a stealer. If Nintendofan214 has a problem with this, I'll take it down if he/she/they desire me to.
Although, I haven't actually informed him/her/them that I used his/her/their arrangement to get down the basic tune... Seeing as the song isn't originally his/hers/theirs, though, and mine is quite different from his/hers/theirs, I believe there shouldn't be a problem.
Rate, comment, subscribe, yadda yadda yadda. Hope you enjoy the music.
