Did your oil light or warning message screen pop up on your car?
If you drive an older BMW X5 (this one is a ~2012) for a long drive, you'll notice that sometimes this message will come up, after the engine has been driven hot. It can be summer or winter, but this pesky message seems to happen when you least expect it.
Here's a quick tutorial on how to take care of this yourself, quickly without too much fuss. You'll need to go to a store and get a quart of oil that is compatible with your car and ideally, matches with the type and viscosity that is already in there (check your last service records). After topping it off with a quart, this message should go away, and hopefully not appear again before your next oil change!
