Meet Eric. He may be facing retrenchment and the pressure to provide for his family, from putting food on the table to paying childcare fees, has increased immensely. However, he cannot give up.
He knows going for training and upskilling courses is not easy but that is what he needs to do to find better employment opportunities.
In this pandemic, Eric’s story is not uncommon. This National Day, we salute all who have turned lemons into lemonade and showed us how to be kind to one another, despite the mounting challenges they face. This is the Singapore spirit.
We are here with you, because we are strongest when we stand together.
