I happened to stumble upon this dance, called La Sardana, in front of the Barcelona Cathedral on a Sunday morning. La Sardana is a type of circle dance typical of Catalonia, Spain. Music for La Sardana is played by a cobla, a band consisting of 10 wind instruments, double bass and a tamborí (very small drum) played by 11 musicians.
