The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that devastated Türkiye and Syria in February is the deadliest natural disaster in its modern history; it has killed more nearly 60,000 people, destroyed roads, bridges, and homes; crumbled infrastructure; blocked key ports and transport routes, and displaced people — amid aftershocks and chilling winter temperatures.
This roundtable conversation discusses the immense logistical challenges facing those delivering emergency humanitarian assistance in Türkiye, Syria, and beyond: critical medical supplies, water, food, and sanitation. We will also address international and national opportunities for both professional and pro bono work in this field.
