We took a long 5 day test drive in this base model Kia Sorento LX. No turbo here! While the base engine is adequate the 8 speed torque converter transmission does struggle at times, hunting and extremely stubborn to downshift. But at a price on par with the compact segment these base engine trim levels in all wheel drive fill a much needed price gap in mid size SUV choices.
