The Nowruz festival is an ancient celebration commemorating the beginning of the new calendar year in much of central Asia (Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, etc).

Sydney's Afghan community through the organisation of Kateb Hazara Association brought this ancient celebration to Australia through a rich cultural display of music, art, dance and plenty of food.
