Brewing an all grain Courage Best Bitter from a recipe that I found in a book entitled “Brew Your Own Real Ale At Home” by Graham Wheeler and Roger Protz. I also got to play with the new hop spider purchased from Leyland Home Brew [ Ссылка ] where all the ingredients that were used in the brew day were also purchased from.

Recipe:
3,500g Pale malt
320g Crystal malt
20g Black malt
Start of boil:
24g Target Hops
13g Styrian Golding Hops
Last fifteen minutes of boil:
5g Hallertau Hops
5g Styrian Golding Hops
½ Whirlflock tablet
Dry hopped half way through fermentation:
5g Hallertau Hops
5g Styrian Golding Hops
10l 90min mash @ 660C
2hr Boil
20g priming sugar in the barrel and six bottles with just under a ¼ teaspoon of priming sugar in each.
