Eidos's Guardians of the Galaxy are my favourite guardians. The galaxy they con their way through is packed with heart and earnestness that makes something as simple as eavesdropping on a conversation between Rocket and Drax the highlight of a play session. The world-building, the aesthetic, the tone, couldn’t be more in-keeping with the vibe of this ramshackle group of lovable criminals.

But it’s far from perfect.

In fact I’d argue that Guardians of the Galaxy is a good game with great writing.
