Drive – Chris Capredoni provides a detailed and comprehensive tutorial on correcting the 0028A0 Air Mass System, Fuel Prep System error code on a BMW E70 N55 X5 (2007-2013). If the battery is disconnected or replaced it can create the 28A0 fault code which indicates that the throttle valve opening angle pressure intake pipe comparison pressure is too high. The DME module is leaning the fuel mixture, but cannot lean it any more to equalize the system. This procedure will restore balance and eliminate the fault code.
