Weekend and weeknight track work near 59th Street-Columbus Circle suspended regular (A) train service between West 4th Street and 145th Street. The southern portion of the (A) ran via the (F) line from West 4th Street to Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and then via the (Q) line to 96th Street. With no "A to 96 St-2 Av" program installed on the R211 cars, some conductors changed the signs on their trains to either the (F) or (Q) to 96/2. It was great to see the flexibility and variations of the R211's signage as most of the lines these cars normally run on have a blue route bullet.
