Multotec conducts test work on spiral concentrators at our research and development facilities or on plant sites. Multotec offers commissioning and installation for mineral spiral test units as well as consultation services. Heavy minerals spiral test units from Multotec comprise four spiral stages capable of processing up to 20 tons of solids per hour. With lockable IP65 control box enclosure, generators and variable speed drives can be used to operate the pumps and sumps, working between 380 V or 525 V. Multotec’s heavy minerals spiral test units are stand-alone, can be easily moved, skid-mounted and are easy to erect. When in transit, the test unit’s stability is maintained through support braces and dedicated lock-out switches for each pump. All components can be packed into a container or on two flat-bed trucks. Easily erected on site with three primary modules, ideal for plants in remote areas, and completely plug-and-play. Three primary modules in Multotec’s modular test plant allow for easy onsite assembly for increased uptime. Versatility allows the flow sheet to be adapted to suit specific applications. Modular test plants have multi-commodity use and can be customised for feed of 1.5 tons to 40 tons per hour. Four dedicated mild steel rubber-lined sumps with pumps come standard and additional steel supports are supplied for extra stability. There’s a single connection for water supply and dilution, and a dedicated control panel. Polyurethane cyclones are ideal for desliming and dewatering functions. Overflow discharges into separate tanks and stacker cyclones for product and discard are optional.
