The AIM Independent Music Awards is virtual for the first time ever in 2020 with a variety of live performances celebrating 10 years of championing the unparalleled creativity and innovation of the UK’s independent music community.

The AIM Awards 2020 saw performances from some of independent music's leading lights including AJ Tracey, Little Simz, Arlo Parks, Tony Allen Tribute led by Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective) and special guests.

Nominees and winners have now been announced for all of this year's categories, as well as the exciting news that AJ Tracey will be taking home this year's Innovator Award, with Little Simz picking up the Pioneer Award, Helen Smith receiving Indie Champion, Arlo Parks winning the One To Watch award and afrobeat legend Tony Allen being posthumously awarded Outstanding Contribution to Music. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by tastemaker DJ and leading voice of BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s Rap Show, Tiffany Calver.
