To achieve the best working results when cutting, you should ideally use a cutting disc that matches both the material that you are working on and the machine which you are using. Alongside cutting discs for stainless steel and steel, aluminium or non-ferrous metals, resin-bonded cutting discs for stone are also available. If used on stone, cutting discs for steel can become blunt and red-hot as a result of their hard bond and material composition. Accordingly, cutting discs designed for stone use a special bond and a grain mix with a very high proportion of silicon carbide. Watch the video to see the difference.
