From the very first episode, Grissom (William Petersen) and Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), or the 'nerd squad', are called to investigate an apparent suicide at a home in Las Vegas. When Grissom finds the presence of myiasis (maggots) in and around the body, things about this 'suicide' aren't adding up.
