Memorial service for ex-President Roh on Mon.; PM Han Duck-soo, presidential aides, rival parties to attend

Today marks the thirteenth anniversary of former President Roh Moo-hyun's death.
A commemorative ceremony will take place at 2 PM at the late president's final resting place Bongha Village in Gyeongsangnam-do province.
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo will attend along with President Yoon Suk-yeol's aides... and high-profile politicians from the ruling People Power Party.
The move is largely seen as an effort by the conservative PPP to drum up support from the opposition bloc, ahead of June 1st local elections.
Meanwhile, to consolidate its liberal base, leaders of the main opposition Democratic Party will also attend... along with former President Moon Jae-in and former presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.
In 2009, Roh jumped to his death from a cliff amid a corruption probe by state prosecutors into his family and aides.
