Open enrollment lasts until Dec. 7, and so we are in the annual window for senior citizens to assess and perhaps change their Medicare plans for 2022.
The Oregonian/OregonLive is here to help. Brent Hunsberger, the newsroom’s former personal finance columnist, moderated a free virtual live session Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, to help answer questions. He was joined by two local experts:
--Lisa Lettenmaier, owner/principal at HealthSource Northwest
--Hedy Towan, volunteer, Clackamas County Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance program (SHIBA).
Topics included What’s New in 2022′s Open Enrollment Plan; Medicare 101: Getting Started; and Choosing the Right Drug Plan. We’ve covered these topics and more in our annual Medicare Guide, which includes comparison grids, the basics and where to find additional help.
