Cross Country have inherited Class 170's that were owned by the now defunct Central Trains and Midland Main Line and repainted them in their stylish livery that is carried on their Voyager and HST fleets. During my 2 hours at Cambridge I saw 4 members of the fleet that includes the former Portabrook Class 170 398 which is remember for carrying the Q Jump advertising livery. It and its 3 classmates were working the high profile service between Birmingham New St and Stansted Airport. The Turbostar has truely fantastic sounds when on full power as it sounds like a vrooom sound. The diagrams that they were working are shown below;
Class 170 519 - 14:20 Stansted Airport - Birmingham New St
Class 170 638 - 12:22 Birmingham New St - Stansted Airport
Class 170 398 - 15:20 Stansted Airport - Birmingham New St
Class 170 115 - 13:22 Birmingham New St - Stansted Airport
