VALOR FROM DARKNESS is a documentary that explores a bloody dictatorship, a valiant revolution, and the ongoing process of reconciliation in one of the western hemisphere's poorest countries, Nicaragua. The film is told through the stories of the former combatants who fought for Nicaragua during the 1970s and 1980s, and the journalists who covered the wars.

The documentary was released in January 2011 and was produced by The Albert Schweitzer Institute at Quinnipiac University and Quinnipiac University's Information Services.
