In 1897 Dundee filmmaker Peter Feathers made the short film: Railway Ride Over The Tay Bridge. This was 10 years after the new Tay Bridge was completed - a section of the original collapsed during a storm in 1879.
Fast-forward to November 2013 and a small group from McManus Youth Action Group are heading to Leuchars station to make the same journey back across the bridge from Wormit, Fife to Dundee.
They would capture the same journey from the cab of an Intercity 125 Diesel. Serendipity ensured that, as in the original, another train was traveling in the opposite direction.
Here you can see both films simultaneously.
