Our world is facing an unprecedented extinction crisis with invasive species as the primary driver of biodiversity loss on islands. Luckily, removal of invasive species can have wondrous effects for island wildlife and ecosystems, evening bringing species back from the brink of extinction. Island Conservation and Tetiaroa Society are working together to restore Tetiaroa Atoll in French Polynesia and make the science-based case for invasive species removal as a tool for coral reef conservation, serving as a model for tropical islands globally.
