Do you like abandoned quarries? Do you like waterfalls? Do you like vegan food? Well, if you answered yes to any of those questions then this video could be for you 📽️
As I continue my adventures around my own country, Wales, I pay a visit to a town that isn't that far away from where I grew up. In fact, it's only a 30 minute drive away. Blaenau Ffestiniog. During my younger years this was an area that I never wanted to visit. All I saw was grey... everywhere. Grey, buildings, grey hills, grey skies, grey roads. Everything just seemed so grey and bleak. And to a certain extent, I was kind of right! 👀☁️☁️☁️😛
But now that I've grown up a little I do what a lot of people do, I've begun to like and love parts of the world that I didn't used too. I appreciate the ruggedness, rough edges and crazy weather patterns of this area now 🤩
After spending two nights in an AirBnb here in Blaenau Ffestiniog it has left me wanting to return and explore the surrounding area more 🧐
In this video I arrive at the Airbnb (link below) and go for a hike up to one of the abandoned quarries that they have here, which sits at the base of the mountains and lies next to a beautiful lake, Cwmorthin. I also pay a visit to an amazing vegan cafe called The Hungry Gorilla in a nearby town Penrhyndeudraeth.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best on this day so I didn't get to do all that I wanted but the following day was better, which means there will be a follow up to this video...with better weather 😎
