Samsung (삼성) was formed on March 1st 1938 - Seoul, Korea.

Samsung entered the electronic industry in 1960 and has continued to do so to date, where their mobile phones and semiconductors have become the most important source for income.

Their revenue is equal to 17% of south Koreas GDP which is at 1082 billion USD.

How can you invest in Samsung as a foreigner?

It's near impossible to invest in Korean based companies as a foreigner but there are still possibilities.

The likes of Trading212 does not have the likes of Samsung to invest in but etoro does and pays out dividends of 1.56%.

SMSN.L is Samsung listed on the London stock exchange and prices quoted in dollars.

Sometimes the stock is listed as SMSN.L or SMSN.IL (international London)
