2020 was a year of uncertainty and hardship for many. Within a matter of weeks COVID-19 dismantled everyday life and tore a hole through entire communities. However from the darkness there is always light and we have seen societies pull together, individuals go to extraordinary lengths to help others in need, key workers put their own health and family’s wellbeing on the line and charities go above and beyond what anyone thought possible.
One such charity is the Motor Neurone Disease Association who have provided services, support and health and social care for those individuals and families who are affected by this incurable, degenerative disease right the way through the pandemic.

There is very little understanding of what causes the illness and, at the moment, no cure. Together we can change this. James and I wanted to do something extraordinary in 2021 to fundraise for the MND Association and play our part in changing the future for those affected by motor neuron disease and help bring this disease to its knees.
We have created a 12 month challenge consisting of 12 enduring physical challenges each designed to consistently push us way out of our comfort zone. Preparing ourselves for the challenges will be so important so James and I will be rigorously training in the build up to completing each month’s challenge. Posting updates and messages via our Instagram page. Both James and I are going into this having gained a few ‘ Lockdown Kilos’ over the previous year and it would be fair to say that as it stands on the 1st January 2021 our fitness levels are not where they need to be (hence the BIG focus on training).
