Just as its latest EV hits dealerships.
Just as the 2023 Nissan Ariya hits dealerships, Nissan has a big announcement that could entice more buyers to consider an electric vehicle.
At the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show's AutoMobility LA event, Nissan announced a new program called EV Carefree+ for the 2023 Leaf and Ariya. The program focuses on four aspects of ownership: charging, maintenance, battery health, and roadside assistance.
Let's start with public charging, as it's become a significant stumbling block for buyers. Just as it did with the Leaf in 2019, Nissan has partnered with EVgo to give Ariya owners and lessees one year of unlimited public charging. The deal for the Leaf isn't nearly as generous and simply includes a $100 charging card. This is far from the best complimentary charging agreement we've seen recently, but it's worth considering.
