wow... this is awesome. for so long I've said they should bring back mcdonaldland but marketed towards nostalgic adults rather than kids, and they're finally starting to go through with it in full force.
i really love all the practical costumes and puppets in this ad, it feels like it was made with great care to the characters. and seeing a bit of grimace's past was cool... but it suffers highly from a lack of the clown for that reason.
fans of the lore know grimace and ronald have been lifelong friends since childhood, so his absence in these milestone birthdays throughout his life feels very odd.
it seems they're not willing to give up ronald to an adult audience yet, perhaps in hopes he can still be marketed to kids if they play their cards right (or maybe just wanna keep him exclusive as the charity's mascot). idk man, i think they should just give us ronald at this point so we can see all the characters together again
also it seems like mcdonaldland now has a 'floating timeline' similar to the simpsons based on the decades grimace is growing up in here
