Our amazing patient was so excited to try Dr. Chiang’s solid CO2 (dry ice) - TCA Medium-depth chemical peel to help her skin feel smoother and stimulate the renewal process. The dry ice prepares the skin for the TCA, helping it to penetrate more evenly and deeply.
After the dry ice step, Dr. Chiang will apply the TCA 35% peel to the skin in layers until there is an even frosting of white around the entire face. Frosting refers to the depth of the chemical peel and once the skin reaches a white frosting with no pink showing through, we know we’ve gone deeper into the second layer of the skin, known as the dermis.
Medium-depth chemical peels take about 7- 10 days to fully heal but the results are well worth it.
