Finland found itself lodged firmly between a rock and a hard place at the start of World War II. Join speaker Juha Virola from his home in Finland where he will explore the 1939-1940 Winter War, and the Continuation War which was fought from 1941-1944. The presentation will delve into the variety of aircraft used to defend Finland, and emphasize the experiences of some of the Finnish Air Force’s most notable fighter and bomber pilots. The presentation will feature a unique visual style capturing key moments through selected pieces of aviation art.
