Our flight from California was supposed to land in Newark, but instead had an emergency landing in Chicago. There was a big snow storm on the east coast, landing in New Jersey wasn't possible...forced to sleep in the Chicago airport.
Why not get a hotel? We landed in Chicago at midnight, our next flight was 6am. Why leave the airport to come back in a couple hours? Seems like more work than it's worth.
The lesson is to take things in stride and realize sometimes you can't change things. It's important to do the best you can with bad situations...
