This is a shaky video stabilized with 2 different programs : Deshaker 3.0 plugin from Virtual Dub and Warp Stabilizer from Adobe After Effects CS6. While deshaker stabilizes well but cannot fix rolling shutter effect (jelly effect), Adobe After Effects does both jobs : stabilize and corect the rolling shutter.
Deshaker has a rolling shutter corection module, but is not eficient. I did not felt any improvment to the video, does not matter wich settings I tried. And I tried a lot of settings until I gave up.
I have a CMOS camera (Olympus E-5) wich has "rolling shutter" problem (jelly effect).
I had videos wich I considered unusable when I fixed it with VirtualDub because of this "jelly" effect. Adobe After Effects helped me to fix those videos.
If you have a CCD camera, probably both programs will stabilize very well the videos.
My post and my conclusions from this video, are only for CMOS cameras wich have rolling shutter effect/problem.
NOTE: I do NOT have any sponsor and I do NOT have any benefit from this. It is only voluntary work for my personal satisfaction. I thought my experience could be usefull for other people.
I accept any other opinion if you prove it (with videos, pictures, settings values...etc). Simple words do not have any value. If you want to prove something, please prove it with facts, tests, videos....
