For Filmmaker Elizabeth Kaiser, it's no secret that the world of creating film and movies is dominated by men. Kaiser is one of two women filmmakers attending the Thunder Bay International Film Festival. Her film, The Big Five Dive, looks at a group of women SCUBA divers attempting to dive in all five great lakes in a matter of 24 hours.The adventure that these women experience is unmatched, diving in old shipwrecks and docks. The diving field, much like film, is heavily dominated by men. For Liz, she is a pioneer, much like her subjects in the film, paving the way for women to have more opportunities in each field. Kaiser is an Alpena native who is now based Savannah, GA. She works with her husband to produce all different types of films.
