Whilst visiting the Lake District, we took the opportunity to run Muncaster Castle parkrun.
A 3 lap course run around the beautiful gardens of Muncaster Castle, near Ravenglass in Cumbria. Its essentially a lap of two halves, a net down hill to the castle with a return to the start/finish which is a net uphill. Unfortunately the weather wasnt kind to us on the morning, so even though I can imagine an awesome view across Cumbria from the Castle, I didnt really get to see much.
Footage is from the first full lap and then the last part of the final lap to the finish. No music overlay, just the sounds of parkrun and us talking crap. Also, I broke my selfie stick on the way there, so you can hear it clicking (sorry)
I managed to drag some friends to run / walk with me, one, I believe was her very first parkrun and the other friend, not running a parkrun for several years!
Definitely a great parkrun to visit and is currently relatively small - there were around 60 runners that week. Bonus - you can order a bacon roll (veggie option available) ready for when you finish!
