We've shifted a few kilometers to the East, and are now diving on Pinguinos hydrothermal field. Like dive 612, ROV SuBastian will deliver the Deep Acoustic Lander (DAL) to a targeted location on the bottom at the beginning of the dive. This time however, it will need to be powered on by the ROV before we begin our ascent. Between dropping of the DAL and beginning our ascent, we will carry out visual exploration and opportunistic sampling as well as mapping surveys using InSAS.
