This video covers the topic of Ambient Occlusion in Unreal Engine. We start by going over what ambient occlusion is. Normally, Unreal uses SSAO - or screen space ambient occlusion - which is a very rough real-time approximation of ambient occlusion. SSAO has several draw-backs - all of which can be fixed by ray tracing! So we cover how to turn on ray traced ambient occlusion and what all of the settings do to control the effect.
