Lake Nakuru National Park | Kenya Series Episode 30
On the floor of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley lies Lake Nakuru, an alkaline lake that supports a vibrant ecosystem. Colorful birds flock to this area in dazzling displays making this spot a superb destination for bird watching.
The grassland and wooden forests surrounding the lake are incredibly lush, providing vegetation for herds of ungulate species and groups of primates. During our game drive around the lake we witnessed thousands of birds, huge troops of baboons, hippos submerged in the lake’s shallow waters, and giraffes reaching their purple tongues to the tallest of tree branches. Soaring overhead were African fish eagles and great white pelicans, and crawling below us were dung beetles and leopard tortoises. There was simply so much diversity to admire every moment of game drive here!
There are a hundred and one reasons why Lake Nakuru National Park is such a spectacular place to visit, in this video I share a few.
