ISHR's Salma El Hosseiny addresses the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, urging the Council to prioritise protection and security of women and women human rights defenders in Sudan and to adopt independent, impartial investigations
into cases of sexual violence, killings and arbitrary detentions of activists in the country. This joint statement on behalf of ISHR, Nora Center for Combating Sexual Violence, Regional Coalition for Women Human Rights Defenders in MENA and Sudanese Women Rights Action was delivered during Item 2, at the 49th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
