Today I swap out my Coated EMAD head for a new Clear GMAD. I'm hoping for just a bit more attack and punch with this swap out. The EVANS EMAD/GMAD is a standard go to bass drum head for me! I have them on basically every kit I own! (That's a lot of kits!) I also walk you through how I personally tune my kicks. I love a thick punchy slap sound and for me, this achieves that goal! So follow along as we explore the sounds of the EMAD vs the GMAD bass drum head on my PDP Classic Concept Maple drum set with a 22" kick.
