Group Improvisation: In 1959, Miles Davis gathered a group of musicians together in a small recording studio in Manhattan. Without any sheet music, chord charts, or rehearsal, Miles and his band recorded one of the most timeless records ever—Kind of Blue. There are lessons in this amazing accomplishment that we can apply to our work in tech today. In his talk, Ben shares what he has learned over the past five years during his search for ways to integrate this kind of improvisational thinking and about fluency, empathy and humility. He encourages listeners to invest in people over process.
