Today we're sorta kinda barely taking a break from RBY to talk about Pokémon Stadium, specifically the version of the game you might be stuck with if you're playing the recent Nintendo Switch Online release.

If you were looking to play against your friends in this release of the game, you might've been disappointed to find that you were limited to just the rental Pokémon the game provides, specifically a single set of rentals if you wanted to play a traditional 6v6 battle.

However, the limitations at play here have unintentionally created one of the most uniquely fun and accessible metagames the first generation of Pokémon has to offer, so if you're interested in trying something new or just learning which Pokémon you can beat your friends up with the best, this might be the vid for you!
