BRODETTO DI PESCE or ZUPPA DI PESCE – translates to Fish and Seafood Stew. It will convert even the biggest "meat only" person to fish. So tasty and easy to make. Great family meal - get the Italian loaf for big-sized "scarpetta". Enjoy !

INGREDIENTS
Cherry Tomatoes = 1 can 400 ml
Capers = 1/2 handful - (I did not put them in -but really they are needed to round out the flavors)
Chickpeas = 1/2 a can
Garlic = 1 clove - with olive oil to get it started
Salt and Pepper
White wine - that's your diluter and flavorer. Remember you're making a stew not a fish in a red sauce.

You can do fresh - to impress - but really this is a peasant dish popular along the Adriatic and in Portugal. That means you can use any fish or seafood that you have.
Fish: My favorite is Cod - I look for taste and texture. Haddock, Tilapia - and more...no rules
Seafood: Go with shrimp, clams, mussels - you can even get a packet of flash frozen seafood variety.
Yep - even flash frozend fish - in a stew - you will never tell the difference.
Again - no rules !!!
