For a bite of something special that's made with Notun Gur...
Patishapta, patishapta, yes, a pati pati pati patishapta
Just the thing to welcome spring with
I want a pati pati pati pati shapta

Grate the coconut, lightly fry
Add the jaggery and let it liquefy
Handful of khoya, for a creamy treat
A pinch of cardamom, the filling is complete
For the patishapta, the patishapta,
Hmmm the pati pati pati patishapta
No winter treat is quite complete without the sweetness
Of a pati pati pati patishapta

White flour, w, and the rice flour
Soak in some milk for not less than half an hour
Add some more water or milk, make a batter
Not very thick, consistency does matter!

Pour on a lightly oiled pan that is wide
Spread it out, gently fry on both sides
Place some filling in centre and fold
You can enjoy it hot or cold!
