Western Cape Police are investigating a case of attempted murder, after a police officer was shot in the face in Mitchells Plain on Thursday. The officer is the latest SAPS member to come under attack in Cape Town recently. Last week, Warrant Officer Petrus Johannes Burger Holz, who was a member of the Hawks, was stabbed to death on the N2, while en route to work.
